He manages to share a lot without being gossipy or undermining those around him, which I appreciate. He has obviously lived a very interesting life, but he is also very good at telling the stories. Rob Lowe is a wonderful storyteller and his life makes for interesting reading! Raising my rating to five stars after this second read because of my enjoyment and the fact that I have I thought of this book quite frequently in the years since I first read it. These stories are as entertaining as they are unforgettable. Never mean-spirited or salacious, Lowe delivers unexpected glimpses into his successes, disappointments, relationships, and one-of-a-kind encounters with people who shaped our world over the last twenty-five years. And in between are deft and humorous stories of the wild excesses that marked the eighties, leading to his quest for family and sobriety. During his time on The West Wing, he witnessed the surreal nexus of show business and politics both on the set and in the actual White House.
